On the contrary to its appearance as a game for nobles, baccarat is one of the simplest games at the same time. Now let`s get to know about American baccarat rules. A participant makes only two decisions before dealing: which position to choose so that it is likely to win over the next hand, and the determination of the bet value. The aim of baccarat consists in betting on a hand which would win with overall amount of nine points or as close to nine points as possible. Cards from two to nine have a nominal value, aces cost one point, pictures and tens cost zero points (regardless of suits). The banker and the player each draw two cards. If either the player or banker total 8 or 9, both automatically stand, no exceptions. If the player’s total is 6 or 7, the player stands. If the player stands, the banker hits on a total of 5 or less.
